STORY

I convinced my kids to go with me to a Fall Festival in Jim Thorpe a couple months ago. The downtown area was so cute and festive…but what I loved most was exploring all tiny side streets and alleys. They were good sports, and I think actually liked that the streets weren't so crowded.

I decided to grow my grays out during Covid.

My kids hated it.

They thought I looked old.

And maybe I do…

But I’ve spent 45 years trying to look the way I thought I should look to make other people happy and comfortable.

And now I have a hair color I really love…and a scalp that isn’t sad from all the dye and chemicals…

And wrinkles to match…

And I’ve never felt more at home in my body than I do now.
