STORY

I think they are called doom piles. Random things that are left out and stacked in a pile with a promise to take care of them later. I have doom piles. Doom drawers. And sometimes, when I'm rushed for time, and I have company coming…doom closets. I find the most magical and unexpected things in them when eventually I circle back…sometime years later…and take care of them.

I never got to know my grandparents very well.

My mom’s parents died before I was born.

And my dad’s parents had a hard time moving around.

I want things to be different for me.
